We Create More Than Wine — We Create a Place You’ll Want to Return To
Storm Ridge Estate is a working vineyard, seasonal restaurant, and boutique retreat — rooted in the Yarra Valley and run with passion.

A Legacy Shaped by Storms and Sunlight
Storm Ridge Estate began in 1993, founded by Michael Warren after years of winemaking at Thomas Hardy. He was captivated by a patch of land along the Maroondah Highway — but just before opening, a violent storm tore through the estate.
Instead of retreating, Michael rebuilt. The storm became part of our identity — a symbol of resilience, renewal, and care.
From those humble beginnings, Storm Ridge has grown into a full estate experience:

Crafted with Care. Driven by Belief.
At Storm Ridge Estate, we believe in creating unforgettable experiences through quality, sustainability, and heart.
We don’t follow trends or cut corners. Each decision — from grape to glass, kitchen to cottage — is grounded in craftsmanship and care.
Whether we’re hand-picking fruit at dawn or welcoming guests into Maple House, we do it with purpose. And always with a deep respect for our land, our people, and the legacy we’re building.
Because Storm Ridge isn’t just a destination. It’s a belief: that beauty grows from resilience, and excellence comes from doing things with heart.

Tucked Into The Cool-Climate Hills Of Victoria’s Iconic Yarra Valley
Storm Ridge Estate is home to a boutique vineyard where each vine is nurtured by hand.
We grow a curated selection of varietals — including Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, and Shiraz — chosen to thrive in the valley’s rich soil and shifting seasons. Sustainability is at the heart of how we farm, with a focus on low intervention and long-term land stewardship.
The result? Fruit of exceptional character, purity, and balance — the foundation of every wine we produce.
Harvest
Grapes are hand-picked at optimal ripeness, often in the early morning to preserve natural acidity and aromatics.
Sorting & Crushing
Each bunch is carefully sorted before being gently crushed — with whites pressed straight away, and reds destemmed and fermented on skins.
Fermentation
We use a mix of wild and selected yeasts depending on the variety and vintage, allowing complex, expressive ferments to develop naturally.
Pressing & Ageing
Wines are pressed and transferred into a selection of French oak barrels and stainless steel tanks, where they mature over several months.
Bottling
After minimal intervention and careful monitoring, wines are bottled on-site — unfiltered or lightly filtered to retain character and texture.
